Why Your Business Needs a Pinterest Manager

Idea Pins
They’re time-consuming and clunky to create but in the right hands, Idea Pins can be a gold mine for traffic and followers. With the ever-changing algorithm, don’t waste your time trying to master the latest feature and instead allow us to create Idea Pins that convert. From recipes to crafts, travel itineraries to tutorials Idea Pins come as part of our Pinterest management packages to ensure maximum exposure of your account.
Pinterest SEO
You may have the creative covered but even the most viral-worthy pins aren’t guaranteed to show up top in search results. Pinterest is considered a visual search engine, not a social media platform which means effective SEO is vital to ensure clicks on your content.
Lucky for you, we’ve spent the time and money mastering Pinterest SEO to ensure every single pin we post has a keyword-rich description informed by detailed research to maximise exposure.
Pinterest SEO involves a little more magic than just keyword rich descriptions, however, but in true magician style, we won’t reveal all our tricks (although we do in our Pinterest for business book 😉 ) By signing up for one of our Pinterest management packages, we will ensure your account and content follows the platform’s best practices for SEO.
Google Analytics
While Pinterest is excellent for wedding planning or tasty recipes, one thing it’s not the best at is analytics. Any reputable Pinterest virtual assistant will tell you that Pinterest’s analytics should be taken with a pinch of salt. Not only are they unreliable, but it can be easy to get mesmerised by vanity analytics such as impressions when its clicks to your site that counts.
That’s why Google Analytics is gospel and the best way to gauge if your pinning strategy is actually driving traffic to your site. As part of our Pinterest management packages, we set up bespoke Google analytics dashboards for your site to track exactly that. Not only do we provide an analytics report each month but the dashboard allows you to track exactly which pins are driving traffic (and those that are not!)
Pinterest Management Services FAQ
Can any business thrive on Pinterest?
No. Businesses that are location-specific or are actual brick-and-mortar stores may not be as successful on Pinterest. It is ideal for driving traffic to your website, but won't be as effective in driving footfall to your store. There are certain industries that thrive on Pinterest for example fitness, food, crafts, travel, wellness, wedding and fashion.
How long until I see results?
Pinterest is a marathon not a sprint. While some pins can go viral overnight, others are a slow burner and with seasonal trends on top, patience is key. This means a commitment of 3 months minimum is recommended, but 6 months is ideal for a new strategy to take effect.
Do I need to have a lot of content?
Pinterest prioritises fresh content, this means new graphics AND new URL’s that haven’t been posted on Pinterest before. If you only have 5 products or blog posts for your pins to point to, this will hinder your Pinterest success as your pins will become repetitive. More content = more opportunities to be found on Pinterest.
What type of content can be shared?
Pinterest pins can either be video pins, static pins or idea pins. Think of static pins as mini adverts - when a user clicks on them, it takes them to your content therefor you want them to be as scroll-stopping and click-worthy as possible. That's where we can help. Your URL can link to so many types of content for example a Youtube video, podcast episode, online store, blog post, landing page for email sign ups, online course and more.
